AVA, is a small group of artists who came together in 2015 to paint, share, and celebrate living the artistic life. Our evolution was born of a desire to enjoy art and each other. Weekly, we put paint to paper, canvas or other material, watch informative videos, engage in spirited discussions and organize workshops with award winning artists and other creative people. Our goal is always the same, to positively support each other’s efforts and learn from each other to keep producing Art of all kinds.
Each artist has different perspectives on producing works in Watercolor, Acrylic, Collage, Glass works, etc. Carol Yost, Kaz Huston, Sally Reed, Sandee Duncan, Donna Shepard, and Rita Poore comprise AVA and together they work to discover new skills and techniques.
Rita Poore thanks the owners, Bruce and Chuck Mead-e of Georgetown's Upper Crust for having AVA’s first group show.
