THE CURRENT EXHIBIT
"Nanticoke River Arts Council"
Begining Saturday, September 10, 2016 through October 7, 2016
A “Meet the Artist” reception will be
September 10 at the Nanticoke River Arts Council’s (NRAC) booth during the Art Crawl.
The Upper Crust, “Coffee shop and more…”, at 7 E. Market Street in Georgetown DE is very excited to present its premier exhibit at the opening of the Historic Georgetown Art Crawl on September 10, 2016 at 10:00 am. The exhibit goes until Friday, October 7, 2016. A “Meet the Artists” is scheduled at Nanticoke River Arts Council’s (NRAC) booth during the Art Crawl.
NRAC was founded by a small group of artists & art enthusiasts with a strong desire to share their love for the Arts. Currently, artisan members create in the following mediums; watercolors, pen and ink, acrylics, pastels, oils, photography, scale model lighthouses, wood turnings, and jewelry making. The goal of the NRAC is to expand the organization to include other art forms, including music, theatre and other creative pursuits. To date, artists have shown their work at Seaford Riverfest, the Seaford Public Library, Ross Mansion Victorian Christmas, Act II Garden Party Show and Sale, The Seaford Museum, Art in Kiwanis Park, Heritage Days, Seaford Community Concert Series, Western Sussex Farmer’s Market, Historic Georgetown Art Crawl and most recently have participated in an ongoing show at the Bridgeville Library.
On October 8, 2011, NRAC opened Gallery 107 in a storefront at 107 Pine Street, Seaford, Delaware to rave reviews. Within one month, NRAC had outgrown its space and made the decision to move the gallery to the larger storefront within the same building at 324 High Street. This location provided NRAC with more space and a much larger classroom, which was desperately needed. Gallery 107 reopened, on January 6, 2012 with a very well attended reception.
